Teenage Mental Health

Teenage Mental Health provide one to one therapy, support groups and information for children, adolescents, parents and adults who are affected by mental health issues. Based in Ipswich, Suffolk they have been able to respond to the increased need for support over the course of the pandemic as well as become incredibly well connected with other local mental health organisations. This has ultimately allowed them to better identify what support is needed across the region, especially for the younger members of our community and their guardians. Recently, Teenage Mental Health started a series of weekly support groups, including a men’s group, which are in-person and free to attend. Based at their facility in Ipswich, and following covid-19 guidelines, they provide a safe space to connect, share experiences and access support. At a time when many of us feel isolated and cut-off from the people around us, groups like these are vital to combat these feelings and to send out the message that you are not alone.

Below is more information about the support groups on offer as well as contact details and links to find out more.

Teenage Mental Health run five support groups, every week which consist of:

  • Monday - A Parental Support Group

  • Tuesday - Men's Support Group

  • Wednesday - A Self-Harm Support Group (under 25's only)

  • Thursday - Transgender Support Group (under 25's only)

  • Friday - Disordered Eating Support Group (under 25's only)

The support groups are free for people attending and allow like-minded people to support you with help given by some of the therapists employed by Teenage Mental Health

The groups run weekly from 7pm until 8:30pm at our facility, 31 Lower Brook Street, Ipswich IP4 1AQ.
