Birthday Tears
One year ago today The Smokehouse, Ipswich was flooded with people attending the launch event for Guy Cry Club. It was an overwhelmingly positive response to the birth of this platform and to this day it astounds me that so many of you came along to support it…
Art for Well-being Workshops
Hannah Aria, artist and community arts practitioner invited GCC Director Ben Driver onto her live show and tell YouTube stream last Friday. The stream makes up a part of her 12 week series Art for Well-being Workshops, where expression is encouraged to maintain happiness and connection through weekly creative projects.
Our Kickstarter Campaign
You can support the beginnings of Guy Cry Club and get yourself some rather splendid merch with our Kickstarter Campaign. If successful (c’mon c’mon c’mon) the money raised will help cover the costs of our launch event which will be on 5th September at The Smokehouse, Ipswich.
Welcome to Guy Cry Club
Hello! Welcome to the Guy Cry Club a new project founded by abitofquirk (that’s me!) who feels like the conversation surrounding mental health could do we a creative revolution! We don’t all use words to express all those feelings we hold within us. We should all be encouraged to find our own outlet and use that to communicate whatever may be going on in our individual lives. This club is all about mental health, masculinity, sexuality and identity in a context which is inclusive, creative and kind.
