Alexander Ward: Photography Mentorship

Suffolk/Essex based photographer Alexander Ward has put together a mentorship programme for emerging talents to advance their creativity. Passionate about sharing his photographic intelligence with others the mentorship is just as much about working with individuals to nurture their practice as it is connecting artists and becoming stronger together. Read on for further details from Alexander (deadline for applications: 30th September).

“I believe that in a healthy society we should help each other build and grow, and as creatives we should pull together to create communities which lift everyone up. My mentorship embodies this through working together to develop and grow photographers, helping them to take their work to the next stage.”

- Alexander Ward

What does my mentorship look like?

Fundamentally, I’ll be there to support your growth as a photographer in whichever direction we agree. Together we will:-

  • Understand where you are and where you want to be

  • Develop your technique and style

  • Tackle challenges and barriers

  • Critique your work

  • Plan shoots and your next stages

  • Professionalise your work

  • Expand your work and broaden your comfort zone

We will speak via Zoom/Skype regularly (typically once a month) but I’ll be there on email/whatsapp when you need some extra help. If geography allows, we’ll meet where able.

I’ll help you stay focused, provide guidance on your work and direction and set challenges to explore your boundaries.
