I’m Fine: Call for Art
Guy Cry Club are collaborating with Led Creatives to host an exhibition exploring masculinity and mental health this November. We are looking for artists of any gender who reside across Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire to submit their work. Not only will this exhibition celebrate our local arts scene but it will also shed light on a diverse range of perspectives relating to men’s mental health.
You do not need to identify as a male to be part of this exhibition. We are looking for art from all humans regardless of whether you exist within or beyond the gender binary. The artwork we will consider for exhibition will be that which interacts with thoughts, ideas and experiences surrounding men’s mental health. Those that have been following Guy Cry Club for a while will know that I created this Club with the viewpoint that everyone has an experience of masculinity, mental health and how the two can intertwine.
Even if you have never created art that interacts with these kinds of topics, why not challenge yourself to make a submission. Myself and Ed Ngai (Led Creatives), are always keen to encourage and empower those around us to create and to develop their craft. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if you need a little direction.
You can also look through the Guy Cry Club curated gallery for some inspiration!
