“The piece is a fun kitsch hint at the worlds of religious beliefs and gay culture colliding. Especially in the current climate and the danger some LGBTQ people are facing. The piece attempts to captivate tolerance and acceptance within the viewer.” - Slutmouth
The Slutmouth brand is anchored by using traditional screen printing, natural illustrated formations and embroidery techniques, whilst the work focuses on rejecting taboos we hold against our bodies and sexuality. Honouring artists such as Gustav Klimt, Salvador Dali and Tracey Emin she takes influence from them, not with nostalgia, but with passion and a drive to create moments which not only reflect on the past but echo on where the human condition may lead us.
